The modernized Venetian mosaic floor production was also used in modernist architecture. Terrazzo is a technique used for decorative seamless poured floor production, and for the so-called terrazzo plaster, stairs, plinths of the buildings and other architectural elements. Terrazzo is a composition of cement, stone chips and different dyes. Most often marble chips are used in combination with oxide dyes.

The technology of poured floor includes the creation of structural layers.

At the first stage, a hard concrete floor base should be created. The hardened concrete layer is covered with thin levelling layer of stone and cement mixture. Then, bottom part of special separation lines is submerged into the levelling layer. The received sections are then poured with mixture of relevant stone fillings and dyes. The hardened terrazzo mixture is then grinded and polished.
